Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A celebrity who has strayed from traditional music into pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to be around forever, and will conquer everywhere. Swift shed country like it was another layer and proved that she's possibly the smartest pop-singer/songwriter her generation. Someone who is able to harness the zeitgeist to make it personal, and perform in the opposite. Swift's early hits, especially their neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. The album from 2008 Fearless showcased a writer who was re-discovering herself and gaining a huge following. Fearless went on to become a global hit but not only in North America (where it received with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia and the U.K. and other countries. Swift's next album Speak Now, released just two years after the debut, further consolidated the success of this album. It helped propel Swift to superstardom. Over the next three years, her fame increased -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) -- as she moved into a world of pop music in which her talent was already well established. Although she slowed down her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was nevertheless in the forefront of pop music.
