
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on the 19th of January, 2008 in the US. She was an American film television, theatre, and voice actress. Pleshette started out in theatre. She was in films during the 1950s in the latter half of the decade. Later, she was an important actor in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She also appeared in numerous TV productions, mostly as a guest actor, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 1937. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers.
